Welfare of the dogs at
Wimbledon Greyhound Stadium
Our greyhounds have raced week in and week out... they have trained and given of their best to the cheers of the racegoers. The greyhounds have given us excitement and superb entertainment, and when their racing career comes to an end it is our turn to look after the retired greyhounds and find them a loving home.

The Wimbledon Retired Greyhound Trust
This is when the Retired Greyhound Trust (RGT) steps in to action to help find the retired greyhounds a caring home.
Thousands of families love the dogs for their gentle and affectionate nature. Greyhounds are wonderful companions and are natural couch potatoes, fantastic with children they love to be lazy and need just two 20-minute walks a day.
About 9000 greyhounds every year retire from racing all of them need to be loved and cared for now their racing career is over.
The RGT team at Wimbledon are always very active organising numerous fund-raising events throughout the year. If you would like to help, either in fund-raising or home checking, go to the retired greyhounds website – www.hershamhounds.org.uk
If you can help, give a dog a home. They make a fantastic pet.
