Birmingham Greyhound Stadium Perry Barr
Birmingham Greyhound Stadium at Perry Barr is an ideal venue for fund-raising and Charity events, with local charitable organisations, good causes and national charities all having organised successful events raising substantial amounts of money.
You can stage your charity or fund raising event either in our Skyline Restaurant, privately in our Executive Suites or in a combination of both.
There are a great range of packages to choose from, all of which are available at special Charity and Fund-raising discount rates.
Over the years here at Birmingham Perry Barr and at our other GRA tracks around the country we have worked with some great national charity organisations including The Woodland Trust ,The Variety Club, Guide Dogs For the Blind, various Cancer charity groups and of course our very own Retired Greyhound Trust who run a number of events throughout the year raising funds for retired greyhounds.
There are several ways in which you can raise funds during a night at the dogs and below are a few fund-raising ideas or suggestions to help you maximise your funds.
Special Events
We are more than happy to help you stage your own special event during your fund-raising evening for example a human race around the stadium race track is always a favourite with fund-raisers and racegoers alike.
Presentation Race Sponsorship
Businesses,individuals or Groups, can be invited to sponsor a Presentation Race for say a minimum donation eg £100 per race. (We charge the Charity only £30 to cover trophy and other costs) that’s £70 profit per race for the charity, Usually there are 12 to 13 races during the evening funds raised £840 to £910.
Greyhound Nomination
On average a programme of racing will include 78 greyhounds during the evening. You can invite guests to nominate a greyhound at say £10.00 (£780.00 raised). You will need to provide a sponsored prize for each race. The nominator of the winning greyhound in each race wins the prize.
Race Programme Advertising
Sell advertising space to sponsors. The charity or fund-raisers pay between £40 to £100.
Charity Collection and Raffles
We are delighted to allow stadium-wide Charity collections or maybe hold a raffle for sponsored prizes selling tickets to anyone in the stadium, our commentator will assist on the night publicising the event.
Auction
Organise an auction with sponsored prizes (only available in Executive Suites).
Working together it is possible to raise as much as £5000 per night
