Q. How do payments work through this website?

We have 2 different payment options that apply when you are booking on this website, which vary according to the package you are booking.  We offer you the choice of booking online or by telephone for the majority of our package.

Bookings via Ts.com

If you booking was handled by our partners at ts.com (this booking method applies to some trackside bookings) then your booking is confirmed while you are online and your credit or debit card payment is taken immediately.

Bookings via Love the Dogs & Protx

The majority of bookings are processed directly on this website.  On the last page of the booking screen you have 3 options, the first one is to securely leave your credit card with Protx.

When you leave your credit or debit card details with Protx you do not pay immediately.   We place a "hold", or a "pre-authorisation" on your card (just like when you check into a hotel or hire a car) for the amount of your booking.  A agent will check our central reservation system to see if there is space available.  Provided there is space available your booking is made and confirmed and your credit card is charged at this point and you will receive a final confirmation email.

This normally happens with about 24 hours of your request.   If we cannot accommodate your request, we may offer you alternative dates and the "pre-authorisation" we placed on your card is released.

Some customers may see the "pre-authorisation" on their internet banking service, showing as a pending transaction or it may be shown as deducted from your "available funds".  This does not mean we have charged your card, it just means we have asked your bank to hold onto your payment while we finish processing your booking.  ONLY WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR FINAL CONFIRMATION EMAIL does this "pre-authorisation" convert to a transaction and the money will debit your account.
